Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for DELI ET510
1. What should I do if I forget my password or the batteries die?
- You can always use the emergency override key. Remove the small circular cover on the front panel to reveal the hidden keyhole. Insert the key and turn it counter-clockwise, then turn the main knob clockwise to open the door. Never store your emergency keys inside the safe.
2. How do I set or change the digital passcode?
Open the safe door using the default code (159) or the emergency key.
Locate the red reset button on the inside of the door (near the hinges).
Press the button once; the yellow light on the keypad will turn on.
Enter your new 3-8 digit code and press the “A” or “B” (or #/Confirm) button.
Two beeps will confirm the new code is successfully saved.
3. What type of batteries does the ET510 use, and how long do they last? The safe requires 4 x AA Alkaline batteries. Under normal usage, they typically last 6–12 months. If you see both the red and green lights flashing simultaneously, it is a “low battery” warning, and you should replace them immediately.
4. Why is the keypad beeping and not responding? This is the built-in alarm system. If an incorrect code is entered 3 times consecutively, the keypad will lock and a warning beep will sound for 20 seconds. If 3 more wrong entries occur, it will lock and beep for 5 minutes. You can stop the alarm by opening the safe with the emergency key.
5. Can this safe be secured so someone doesn’t just carry it away? Yes. The ET510 comes with pre-drilled mounting holes on the back and bottom. It includes expansion bolts in the box so you can securely anchor it to a concrete wall, floor, or inside a sturdy wooden cabinet.
6. Does it fit A4-sized documents? No. The ET510 is a “Mini” series safe (23cm x 17cm). It is designed for A5 documents, passports, cash, and jewelry. If you need to store A4 papers flat, we recommend the larger DELI ET535 or ET550 models.
