FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why does this safe need a Master Key and a Password? The ET623 is designed for high-security environments. Forcing the use of both a Master Key and a PIN ensures that even if a password is stolen or guessed, the safe remains locked unless the physical key is also present.

2. Can I open it if I forget the password or the batteries die? Yes. You can use the Emergency Key combined with the Master Key to open the door manually. Alternatively, plug the External Battery Box into the keypad to provide temporary power for your digital code.

3. What is the factory default password for the ET623? The default user code is usually “1234” or “12345678” depending on the specific firmware version. You should change this to a personal 4-8 digit code immediately during setup.

4. How many fingerprints can I register? Note that the ET623 is a Dual-Lock Digital Safe, not a biometric one. Access is via PIN and Key. If you require fingerprint access, we recommend looking at the DELI ET635 or ET597 series.

5. How do I enable the vibration alarm? To activate the vibration sensor, wake up the panel and press the “*” button once. The alarm will now trigger if the safe is hit, moved, or tilted. Entering the correct PIN will stop the buzzer.

6. Is it large enough for a standard file lever arch folder? Yes. With an internal height of 660mm, you can comfortably stack multiple standard lever arch folders vertically or horizontally.

7. Can I bolt this safe to the floor? Absolutely. The ET623 comes with 6 anchorage points and expansion bolts. At 41kg+, it is already heavy, but bolting it to a concrete floor in your Puchong office or home is highly recommended for maximum security.
