1. How many pages can I shred at once? – The AS1500CD can handle up to 15 sheets of standard 75gsm paper. To ensure the longest lifespan for your machine, we recommend shredding 12–13 sheets for continuous daily tasks.
2. Is the bin easy to empty? – Yes. Unlike smaller “lift-off” head shredders, this model features a 35-liter pull-out drawer. You simply pull the bin out from the front to dump the scraps without touching the heavy motor.
3. Does it handle credit cards and CDs? – Absolutely. There is an adjustable slide cover that guides CDs and credit cards into the cutters. It shreds them into secure pieces just as it does with paper.
4. What should I do if the paper jams? – The AS1500CD is equipped with an Auto-Reverse feature. If a jam is detected, the blades will automatically spin backward to eject the paper. You can also use the manual reverse switch if needed.
5. How loud is the machine during use? – It is rated at 58–60dB, which is roughly the volume of a normal background conversation. It is significantly quieter than standard budget shredders.
