1. Is the ET601 much heavier than other safes? – Yes. Because it contains thick layers of fire-insulation material, it weighs significantly more (approx. 45-50kg) than standard safes. This makes it much harder for a thief to carry away quickly.

2. How do I open it if I forget the code? – You must use the Emergency Override Key. Always keep this key in a secure location outside of your home or office, such as a bank locker.

3. Does it fit a standard F4 (Folio) document? – Yes. The internal height of 380mm is designed to accommodate F4 and A4 documents comfortably, either in the main compartment or the internal drawer.

4. What is the default Master Code? – The default factory code is usually “123456”. It is critical that you change both the User Code and Master Code immediately upon installation.

5. How long do the batteries last? – Under normal usage, a set of high-quality AA Alkaline batteries will last roughly 1 year. The screen will show “LO-BAT” when it’s time to change them.

6. Can I disable the alarm? – The alarm is a core security feature. However, you can stop a sounding alarm by entering your correct digital code.
