FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long does it take for the machine to be ready? – The DELI ET102 usually takes about 3 to 5 minutes to warm up. A green indicator light will turn on when the machine has reached the correct temperature.
2. Can I use this for A3 documents? – No. The ET102 has a maximum width of 230mm, which is designed for A4, A5, A6, and ID card sizes. For A3 lamination, you would need the DELI ET101 or a larger model.
3. What should I do if a pouch gets stuck? – Switch off the power immediately and use the ABS jam-release lever located at the back/side of the machine. While holding the lever, gently pull the pouch out of the feed slot.
4. Does it support cold lamination? – The ET102 is primarily a thermal (hot) laminator. For heat-sensitive documents (like thermal receipts), ensure you are using a machine specifically labeled for “Cold” mode or use cold-laminating self-adhesive sheets without turning the heat on.
5. How thick of a pouch can I use? – It is optimized for pouches between 80 microns and 125 microns. Using pouches thicker than 125 microns may cause jams or insufficient sealing.
6. Do I need a carrier sheet? – No, modern laminators like the ET102 are designed to work without a carrier. Simply insert the sealed end of the pouch into the machine first.
7. Why is there a slight smell during the first use? – It is normal for a new laminator to emit a slight “burnt” smell during the initial heating cycle as the factory protective coatings settle. This should disappear after a few uses.
